The National Book Chamber of the Republic of Moldova (NBCRM) recently organised a conference of the editors/representatives of the editorial system of the Republic of Moldova. This event was held on 18 April 2019 and took place the headquarters of the "Andrei Lupan" Scientific Library (Institute).
The event was supported and sustained by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, in partnership with the Moldovan Publishers Association, the Institute for Information Society Development (IDSI), and "Andrei Lupan" Scientific Library (Institute).
The event included an update for stakeholders regarding ISBN, as well as other identifiers such as ISMN and ISSN, and sessions where the attendees reported back on the current status of publishing from their own perspectives. The Global Register of Publishers database (see http://grp.isbn-international.org) was noted for its effective dissemination of specific information and good visibility.
The full press release (in English) from the conference can be downloaded here). We thank Renata Cozonac and Valentina Chitoroaga for their work in organising the event and for sharing these details with us.
